Versioned decision record

Remember not only what changed—but how the decision changed because of it.

ORBIT Decision Memory preserves a versioned record of infrastructure recommendations. When monitored evidence changes, the earlier decision is not overwritten. A new version can state what changed, why the recommendation moved, which alert triggered review, and which evidence snapshot supported the revision.

The missing layer in one-off studies

A report remembers the answer. Decision Memory preserves the reasoning history.

Infrastructure programs change over months and years. Utility milestones move, permit conditions change, load plans are revised and operating evidence replaces assumptions. ORBIT keeps those changes connected to the decision versions they affected.

Append-only decision history

No silent rewrite of the prior recommendation.

v2 · Recommended

Updated recommendation after a material infrastructure constraint changed.

Linked change signal · evidence snapshot · effective date · why this version exists
v1 · Recommended

The earlier recommendation remains preserved as the decision basis that existed before the new evidence arrived.

Original evidence snapshot · original effective date

The example above illustrates the data model, not a customer result. Trusta does not publish synthetic customer decision histories as traction.

Why enterprises care

Decision provenance becomes part of the operating record.

Auditability

Teams can reconstruct what was recommended at a specific point in time and which evidence supported it.

Change control

Material alerts can be linked to the next decision version rather than disappearing into email, meeting notes or overwritten spreadsheets.

Switching cost

Over time, site evidence, predictions, alerts, decision versions and verified outcomes accumulate into a governed institutional memory.

Governance boundary

Automation can find evidence. It cannot silently change the decision.

ORBIT separates monitoring from decision publication. Agents may identify source changes and prepare evidence, but publishing a new Decision Memory version remains a human-authorized action. Customer access is organization-scoped; prior versions remain immutable.

ORBIT intelligence stack

Atlas → Prediction → Change Intelligence → Decision Memory → Outcome.

The objective is a continuously governed infrastructure decision record rather than a collection of disconnected one-time reports.
